Trizonia

Trizonia is a small island in the Gulf of Corinth, just off the coast of Fokida opposite the Peloponnese, and at 2.5 square kilometres it is the only inhabited island in the Gulf. Low-lying and green with olive groves and pines, its one village sits around a small harbour on the north side facing the mainland village of Glyfada, with beaches around its southern coves.

Known for its calm waters protected from Aegean winds and for being a quiet escape from nearby Nafpaktos and Galaxidi, Trizonia has a few guesthouses, tavernas and moorings for sailing boats. Cars are restricted, and access is by a short boat crossing from the mainland, making it a popular weekend stop for yachts crossing the Corinthian Gulf.
