Best March to June and September to November 18 to 26 degrees for hiking, sea 19 to 25 warm enough for swim, July to August 30 to 36 degrees hike only 6am to 10am sea 25 to 27. Samaria fee 5 euro boat bus extra 30 euro, Andros Route 8 to 15km stages marked, Zas 600m gain, Milos coast 3 to 5km flat white rock.

Base Chania Crete for Samaria and Loutro boat, Chora Andros for Route to Achla, Filoti Naxos for Zas then bus to Plaka 2 to 5 euro, Katapola Amorgos for ridge to Aegiali, Pollonia Milos for Sarakiniko coast, Paleokastritsa Corfu for Trail bays, Pigadia Karpathos for north hikes, Nidri Lefkada for Milos beach. Carry 1.5 to 2L water, trail shoes, quick dry towel, mask for finish swim, hire car 25 to 45 euro day for trailheads and go late May early June or late September for green trails, warm sea and empty coves versus August full sunbeds 15 to 20 euro and hot climbs.
