What to keep in mind
More things to do means more planning and more moving around. These are large islands with international airports and direct UK flights of 3 to 4.5 hours May to October, plus ferries of 1 to 8 hours from Athens, but distances are long and you will need a hire car or organised tours booked ahead in high summer.
On the ground book smart to avoid crowds.
